Accessibility: All common areas are accessible to the physically challenged guest. For your added convenience, there is an elevator in the Lodge. Additionally, our Rocky Mountain Jim king lodge room is ADA-accessible.
Smoke-Free Policy: The entire Lodge, including guest rooms and guest room decks, Great Hall, outdoor Gazebo, and Pergola are smoke-free environments. Smoke-free means that Taharaa is free of all smoke, including, but not limited to, cigarette, cigar, pipe, medical marijuana, candle and incense smoke. Upon departure, if smoke is detected in any areas that guests have occupied, the areas will be professionally steam-cleaned, and the expense of $250.00 per guest room and $500.00 per common area will be billed to the guest’s credit card on file.
Happy Hour: From 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm year-round, we provide a social Happy Hour of wine, beer, and soda in the Lodge’s Den. This is also an ideal time for guests to receive assistance from Taharaa’s staff in making dinner plans.
Pets: Unfortunately, we do not accommodate pets. We do have a resident dog named "Lady Astor" who will charm you while at Taharaa!
Children: Taharaa offers its guests a peaceful mountain retreat to enjoy in the company of other adults. Therefore, we only accept children 13 years and older as lodging guests.
Occupancy Details: All guest rooms at Taharaa have one bed and accommodate two adult guests only.
Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is from 4 pm to 7 pm. Later Check-in is only available by appointment. Check-out is 11 am.
Recommended Vehicles: For Winter & Spring visits to the Rockies and Taharaa, we strongly advise you drive a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle to safely travel the roads and our mountainside driveway!
Minimum Stay Requirements: From mid-May through September, we require a 3-night minimum stay. From October through mid-May, the minimum stay required is 2 nights. All holiday periods have a minimum 3-night stay. Please telephone or email us to inquire about stays not meeting minimum requirements – we will do our utmost to accommodate you!
Room Rates: Low season rates are in effect from November to mid-May, excluding holidays. High season rates are in effect from mid-May to October. For single occupancy, we will deduct $15 per night. Room Rates are subject to change if reservations are not booked and confirmed.
Deposits: A deposit equal to the cost of two nights' stay or 50% of the total cost (whichever is greater) is required within ten days of booking, with the balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations made within 30 days of arrival must be paid in full by credit card upon booking.
Cancellations: Cancellation at least 30 days prior to arrival results in the deposit being refunded less a $25 processing fee. The deposit and full payment are forfeited for a cancellation made less than 30 days prior to arrival, unless the room can be rebooked. If the room is rebooked, a $25 cancellation fee applies. Policies vary for cancellations of multiple rooms. Trip Insurance is highly recommended because, in the event of cancellation, we are not able to vary from the stated cancellation policy, regardless of your situation. Travelex Insurance and other companies can accommodate your travel insurance needs.
